MailHub is a local-first, multi-account email client. It does not require a MailHub cloud account and does not operate a mail relay, remote mailbox synchronization, analytics or backup service. The app connects to email providers chosen by the user.

Information the app processes

To provide user-requested email features, MailHub processes email addresses, provider and server settings, mailbox folders, message metadata, message bodies, attachments, drafts, outgoing messages and pending mailbox operations. Passwords, provider-issued app passwords, and OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in secure storage provided by the operating system.

How information is used

• To discover and configure the user's email provider.
• To authenticate, synchronize, display, organize and search the user's mailbox.
• To send messages and attachments initiated by the user.
• To cache selected mailbox data for offline use and recover pending local operations.

Network recipients and sharing

MailHub sends data only as needed to the user's selected email provider and its official authorization endpoints, to public email autoconfiguration services, and to recipients of messages the user chooses to send. MailHub does not sell mailbox data, share it with advertising or data-broker services, use it for personalized advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Google user data

When a user connects Gmail, MailHub requests the Gmail mail scope so it can provide a user-facing email client through Gmail IMAP and SMTP: read and display mail, synchronize folders and message state, download attachments, organize or delete mail when the user requests it, and send messages composed by the user.

MailHub's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Local storage, retention and deletion

Non-secret account configuration, mail indexes, cached message content, drafts and offline operations are stored in the app's local database. Downloaded attachments use a local cache. MailHub retains this data until the user removes the account, clears the relevant local data or uninstalls the app, subject to operating-system backup and deletion behavior.

Removing an account from MailHub deletes that account's credentials and MailHub-managed local data. It does not delete messages from the email provider. User-exported encrypted backups remain under the user's control. See the data deletion instructions.

Diagnostics, advertising and tracking

The current release does not include advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, remote analytics or remote crash reporting. Diagnostic logs are created locally and must be explicitly selected by the user before they are shared for support.

Security

MailHub uses OAuth authorization code flows with PKCE where supported, encrypted transport to mail providers, operating-system secure credential storage and local application storage. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, so users should keep their operating system and MailHub updated.

International use and children

Email providers may process data in countries determined by the user's provider and recipients. MailHub does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a MailHub cloud service because no such service exists.
